The highlight of our social and fundraising calendar is always our Annual Dinner, this is Broxbourne Conservatives’ guest speaker event. This year the Annual Dinner is on Friday 4th November and our guest speaker will be the Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union, Rt Hon David Davis MP.
We are extremely fortunate that David is coming to Broxbourne and the timing couldn’t be any more fortuitous. The watershed event of the year was obviously the EU Referendum in June and here in Broxbourne the significant majority of people voted to leave, so to be hosting the person charged with putting that into effect is very exciting.
David Davis is a seasoned politician and has been an MP for nearly 30 years, and his background as a grammar school boy and experience in industry prior to entering politics, combined with his current role make him a uniquely attractive guest. In his Parliamentary career David served as a whip during the Maastricht Treaty ratification and a Minister for Europe in John Major’s government so has a unique idea of how tortuous European issues can prove in Parliament. We are sure that this wealth of experience and insight will ensure a fascinating evening.
Our Annual Dinner will be a unique opportunity to come and hear one of the most significant figures in the current government talk about how the outcome of the referendum is implemented. We have secured a stunning local venue and have managed to keep the cost of the tickets down to £40 with a small reduction for under 30s to £35.
We encourage you to consider coming along to our Annual Dinner and for more details please email [email protected] or phone Sue in the office on 01992 479972.
